Meditating to World Peace

On June 5, The David Lynch Foundation will host: A Night of Laughter & Song to benefit veterans, at-risk youth and women and children suffering from domestic abuse.  Featuring Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Hugh Jackman and Margaret Cho, my wife and I will be presented with the Lifetime in Service for Peace” award by The David Lynch Foundation (DLF).

Transcendental Meditation (TM)
David Lynch, the beloved auteur, created the David Lynch Foundation to encourage individuals to lead purposeful and productive lives.  TM, as it’s referred to, is a simple, natural, effortless technique practiced 20 minutes twice a day while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. It’s not a religion, philosophy or lifestyle.  TM allows the active thinking mind to experience a naturally calm, peaceful level of awareness. It creates a deep, restful state for the body while the brain functions with greater coherence.
From my perspective, TM has helped me tremendously.  For nearly four decades I have used this technique to foster my creativity in music, and to build businesses that have pioneered emerging  technologies.  TM brings balance to my life with a refreshing dive into the source of energy and calmness within.  I can’t imagine life without it.  Since anyone can obtain these benefits, on a grander scale, I see TM as the basis for the creativity and calm needed to bring about World Peace.

Led by the indefatigable Bobby Roth, DLF receives kudos from celebrities who bring energy to the movement. Some who are endorsing TM for reducing stress and boosting creativity include:
  • Giselle Bundchengraced more magazine covers than any super-model
  • Jerry Seinfeldbeloved comedian
  • Howard Sternself-proclaimed King of All Media”
  • Katy Perrypop super-star
  • Martin Scorcesedirector
  • Clint Eastwood—actor
  • Dr. Ozdoctor, writer and TV host
These and many others reach the top of their professions and stayed there with an assist from the calming influence of Transcendental Meditation.  Though it may seem that only stars find it beneficial, you don’t have to have money on influence to practice.  TM knows no boundaries.
We are proud to support the important work of the David Lynch Foundation. As a practitioner for most of my adult life, I know the power of TM and it’s my pleasure to help further the Foundation’s mission.
